Building Positive Relationships at St. John's RC Primary School

Pupil Group Manifestos

Children’s Parliament worked with P5 to P7 children at St. Johns RC primary to investigate learner participation via pupil groups. Children talked about their experiences of being in pupil groups, explored what they wanted from their pupil groups, and created a school-wide Pupil Group Manifesto. 

Facilitating child-led discussions

This case study was written by Mary Bainbridge, a former principal teacher at St. Mary’s Primary School in Edinburgh. In it, Mary shares her ideas for how to make sure that every child has an opportunity to express their ideas in school and have them taken seriously.
